This is a great product. I highly recommend it
Our 57 year old Vitantonio Pizzelle Iron died. I had been expecting (or more like dreading) buying a new one. Did a bit of researching before deciding to buy the Palmer Model 7500 and I was not disappointed!!! This iron is the real deal. I was nervous to use it the first time. I was afraid it would be a sticky mess. Just gave it a quick spray with Pam and it was good to go. A nice quality iron that makes perfect pizzelles. If you want a legit Pizzelle Iron, this is the one to buy!
This is a very well designed (and nice looking) Pizzelle iron. No lights no timers no bells and whistles, just a reliable easy to use item. I followed the included recipe and the Pizzelle came out perfect.
I've made 2 batches of pizzelles so far, they came out great! If you want to make thinner pizzelles, this is the maker you want to buy, they're about 3/16 thick. The maker seems to be built with quality and comes with a 5 year warranty. I get even browning all over the pizzelle, so it doesn't seem to have hot spots. they get nice and crisp after cooling. I store them in an OXO pop top container and they've stayed crisp for 3 weeks now, almost gone, got to make more. The quick learning curve was to not over oil the plates. I oiled the plates originally to season and for the first three batches and they kept sticking, I stopped oiling them after that and they came off without a problem, no sticking. I used a small silicon spatula to get underneath, it worked better than the fork I was using. I continued to make about 3 dozen without oiling again and no problems. I made another batch later, heated the iron up for 15 minutes, didn't use any oil on the plates and not one pizzelle stuck. This maker came highly recommended from a baking group I'm in and I am now part of the highly recommending group to buy this maker, you won't regret it! Look up coconut pizzelles for a different flavor.
The expert bakers on the wedding cookie table community Facebook page recommended the Palmer pizzelle maker and they were right. My pizzelle maker was delivered a few days after I ordered it and of course I had to try it out right away. Not one of them stuck and clean up was so easy with a wipe of a paper towel. Can’t wait to try out the many different flavors.
