Best made with the Model 1110.
Cookies:
4 Cups of Flour 1 1/8 Cups of Butter
3/4 Cup of White Sugar 1/4 Cup of Warm Milk
1 Large Egg 2 Envelopes Active Dry Yeast
Filling:
1 1/2 Cup of Molasses 1 1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/3 Cup of Unsalted Butter. 1 tsp. of Ground Cinnamon
Start with the cookies.
• Mix flour, melted butter, sugar, warm milk, egg, and
yeast.
• Set aside to rise for 45 minutes.
Next the filling.
• Heat molasses, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a pan over medium heat until well blended.
Back to the cookies.
• Add cookie dough to pre-heated iron.
• Close lid and clip handle together.
• Allow to cook until steaming stops about 60 – 80 seconds.
• Remove with fork to cool on wire rack.
• Spread the filling on one cookie.
• Put another cookie on top.
