Stroopwafels

Best made with the Model 1110.

Cookies:

4 Cups of Flour                               1 1/8 Cups of Butter

3/4 Cup of White Sugar                  1/4 Cup of Warm Milk

1 Large Egg                                       2 Envelopes Active Dry Yeast

Filling:

1 1/2 Cup of Molasses                       1 1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar

1/3 Cup of Unsalted Butter.             1 tsp. of Ground Cinnamon

 

Start with the cookies.

Mix flour, melted butter, sugar, warm milk, egg, and

yeast.

Set aside to rise for 45 minutes.

Next the filling.

Heat molasses, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a pan over medium heat until well blended.

Back to the cookies.

Add cookie dough to pre-heated iron.

Close lid and clip handle together.

Allow to cook until steaming stops about 60 – 80 seconds.

Remove with fork to cool on wire rack.

Spread the filling on one cookie.

Put another cookie on top.
