Cristy's Pizzelles

            Granddaughter’s recipe – will make 2-3 doz. Pizzelles

 

 

1/2 cup of salted butter                         1 cup of sugar

3 eggs                                                   2 2/3cups of flour

1 tsp. of baking powder                         1 oz of extract (anise or almond)

1 oz of vanilla extract

·       Mix butter & sugar until well blended

·       Add eggs, choice extract & vanilla

·       Add baking powder & flour

·       Mix should be the consistency of a drop cookie dough

·       Add to batter to iron

·       Close lid and clip handle together

·       Allow to cook until steaming stops about 30 – 55 seconds

·       Remove with fork to cool on wire rack or towels

Best irons to use: Model 1000, Model 1000T or Model 7500
