Great performance

I had used another brand of pizzelle maker; however, this one did a great job! Liked that I could use the
small ice cream scoop to measure and put dough in the machine it is the perfect amount. Just level the
full ice cream scoop on the bowl and release onto the machine. No mess and so easy. Used Crisco to
coat the machine for first time use and wiped off the excess with a paper towel. Heated the unit for 15
minutes first. Great even temperature and cooked fast. Used a thong to lift out of the machine, so easy,
pizzelle stayed flat. Nice even browning, very thin, crisp and delicious. No sticking. Maintained great even
temperature with no waiting for the machine to reheat after making each pizzelle making production of
pizzelle fast. I think the ability to use the small ice cream scoop, used also to make melon balls, is a great
help especially for the beginner or the most difficult thing is getting the correct amount of batter on the
machine and will greatly decrease frustration and avoid making a mess. I highly recommend this machine
and can't get over how the temperature is perfectly maintained for fast and beautiful results.
Hard to use compared to the 1000 model

I found it very difficult to get a decent shaped pizzelle using this iron. The size and placement and even
the shape of the batter or dough is critical. The slightest variation in any of these three items will give
you an ugly product. I have used a Model 1000 for years and love it. It is much more forgiving.
